Symphia es un grupo de metal sinfónico de Tenerife, España. Su nombre es una derivación de la palabra inglesa symphony, ya que querían tener un nombre potente, fácilmente recordable y que caracterizase el estilo de metal que hacen. Pues hacen metal sinfónico – melódico, con algunos toques de power.
Este grupo se forma en octubre de 2017, aunque como en todos los grupos en sus inicios hay varios cambios de componentes finalmente la formación queda consolidada a mitad del 2018 con; Amy Gutiérrez a la voz, Alberto Arnay a los teclados. Ramón Gorostiza al bajo, Lito González a la guitarra y Rubén Santana a la batería.
Symphia tiene varios referentes musicales, pero sobre todo se nota una cierta influencia el metal que se hace en los países nórdicos. Tales como Nigthwish, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Epica, Delain. Aunque también tienen influencias de grupos españoles como Warcry e incluso más internacionales como los japoneses Versailles.
En mayo de 2019 empiezan a cerrar algunas actuaciones y hacen su debut sobre los escenarios el 18 de mayo, acompañando a Strivor y Doctor Yao. En la sala El Arcón del Puerto de la Cruz en Tenerife.
En junio de este mismo año cierran otra fecha y tocan con un grupo de largo recorrido en Canarias como es Anjara.
En este mismo concierto, se les ofrece tocar el 9 de agosto en la sala Lone Star, la casa del rock y metal de la capital tinerfeña, junto al grupo Barbanegra, el cual tiene un gran recorrido insular y nacional.
Justo al día siguiente el 10 de agosto participan en un pequeño festival de tres bandas junto a Pantygher y Wickedness, tres grupos de heavy metal completamente diferentes, pero unidos por el metal.
El 12 de Octubre realizan su primera actuación lejos de casa, teniendo que viajar hasta la isla de Gran Canarias para participar en el festival Winds of Rock Fest, junto a grupos como Blackened, Metalmorfosis, Strivor, Melasuda, Infektor, Wickedness y Payasos Kalaveras.
El 31 de Octubre tocan en la isla de Lanzarote junto a Metalmorfosis y Vil Metal celebrando el festival Heavyween, con motivo de la celebración de Halloween.
En diciembre, son invitados por Doctor Yao a tocar en elel festival Metal Xtmas en La Laguna. Tras estos conciertos la banda se centra en la grabación de su primer ep y en preparar una buena actuación, ya que en mayo de 2020 iban a ser teloneros del mismo Leo Jiménez, aunque por motivos de la pandemia se tuvo que suspender hasta nueva fecha.
En sus directos hay que decir que el grupo lo da todo sobre el escenario, tratando de hacer mover el cuello a los asistentes y generando espectáculo sobre la tarima para el disfrute de los asistentes.
El grupo sacó a la vente en octubre de 2020 su primer EP titulado Anteludium. Un ep formado por 6 canciones cañeras, llenas de arreglos orquestales y melodías que atrapan. Grabado, mezclado y materizado por Yeray López en Th1rt3en Studios.

A finales de diciembre fueron nombrados por la web The Metal Club el 8º mejor lanzamiento de gothic y symphonic metal junto a otros grupos a nivel mundial.

Symphia is a symphonic metal group from Tenerife, Spain. Their name is a derivation of the English word symphony, as they wanted to have a powerful, easily remembered name that would characterize the style of metal they make. Well, they do symphonic-melodic metal, with some touches of power.
This group was formed in October 2017, although as in all groups in the beginning there are several changes of components, finally the formation is consolidated in the middle of 2018 with; Amy Gutiérrez on vocals, Alberto Arnay on keyboards. Ramón Gorostiza on bass, Lito González on guitar and Rubén Santana on drums.
Symphia has several musical references, but above all there is a certain influence on the metal that is made in the Nordic countries. Such as Nigthwish, Within Temptation, Sonata Arctica, Stratovarius, Epica, Delain. In May 2019 they begin to close some performances and make their stage debut on May 18, accompanying Strivor and Doctor Yao. In the El Arcón room in Puerto de la Cruz in Tenerife.
In June of this same year they close another date and play with a long-distance group in the Canary Islands such as Anjara. In this same concert, they are offered to play on August 9 in the Lone Star room, the house of rock and metal in the capital of Tenerife, together with the group Barbanegra, which has a great insular and national tour.
Right the next day on August 10 they participate in a small three-band festival with Pantygher and Wickedness, three completely different heavy metal groups, but united by metal. On October 31st they play on the island of Lanzarote together with Metalmorfosis and Vil Metal celebrating the Heavyween festival, on the occasion of the Halloween celebration. In December, they are invited by Doctor Yao to play at the Metal Xtmas festival in La Laguna.
After these concerts the band focuses on recording their first ep and preparing a good performance, since in May 2020 they were going to be the opening act for Leo Jiménez himself, although due to the pandemic it had to be suspended until a new date.
In their live shows, it must be said that the group gives everything on stage, trying to make the audience move their necks and generating a show on the stage for the enjoyment of the audience. The group released their first EP, Anteludium, on sale in October 2020. An ep formed by 6 cañeras songs, full of orchestral arrangements and melodies that catch.
