May 31, 2024 will see the masters of symphonic melodic metal, Rhapsody Of Fire, release their long-awaited new studio offering ‘Challenge The Wind’ via AFM Records. A lyric video for their colossal new single, «A Brave New Hope» is premiered below.
For over thirty years, Rhapsody Of Fire has been able to rely on one thing: there is nothing half-baked about this band. The Italian masters of their craft can look back on an impressive catalog of 14 studio albums, three EPs and two live recordings to date, all marked by a lot of heart and soul, passion and a virtually inexhaustible wealth of ideas. Since 1993, mastermind and founder Alex Staropoli has been hailed as the originator of the cinematic metal genre and his band as one of the world’s most charismatic acts. In addition, Staropoli has recruited a highly creative top-notch guitarist, Roby De Micheli, who joined the group in 2011, contributing many gritty metal riffs and virtuosic solos to contrast the band’s symphonic orchestral style.
In support of their upcoming album, the band has announced a busy touring schedule for 2024, with many more shows to follow soon.
‘Challenge The Wind’ was produced by Alex Staropoli and mixed by Seeb Levermann (Order Ogan), responsible for the homogeneous sound of the elaborate arrangements of the ten songs. As all releases of the band’s first singles prove, one can be sure: Rhapsody Of Fire’s fast-paced adventure will continue with a constant intensity!
